Science Fair

Come join us tomorrow for our 3rd Grade Science Fair! Parents can come from 9:00AM to 10:30AM.
 
As a side note - A Box Top Collection is due tomorrow, as well. Please send them in!

Assignment Folders

Assignment folders are getting sent home for the weekend for ALL subject areas! It's a brand new, manila folder. 
Review the work inside, sign the folder, and return the folder and ALL work to school!
As for my subject - your child's pre-writing to their nonfiction topic is the piece of work sent home. 
If you have any questions, please e-mail the subject teacher.

Lots of Announcements for today! 1/17/18

Hi Parents! Here are some announcements for you.
 
1. Starting Friday, assignment and assessment folders will be sent home for every child. Please review the work in the folders, sign the log sheet, and send the folder with the work back. These folders will be sent home every two weeks. The folders will indicate the subject area that is present in the folder.
 
2. There is currently an artwork competition being held for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. If your student is interested, have them speak to their homeroom teacher for the form.
 
3. The 3rd and 4th Grade Ice Cream Social is Friday! The PTO needs volunteers. Please contact the PTO for information!

Report Cards

Report Cards were sent home yesterday. Please sign and return after the students come back for the new year! If I have a guardian email address, I will send you a reminder email. 

This Week's Announcements

1. Our Holiday Party will be in the afternoon on Wednesday. I am grateful to our class moms who have been organizing it! You can either send in the goodies with your child or drop them off in the office on Wednesday morning.
 
2. The Box Top collection for Grade 3 is this Wednesday. Please send in your box tops!

It's Spirit Week!

Please join in the Holiday Fun as we celebrate the last week of the year! We encourage the students to dress to the daily theme.
 
Monday: Holiday Pajama Day
Tuesday: Santa's Workshop (dress like elves, Santa, reindeer, trees, presents, etc)
Wednesday: Ugly Sweater Day
Thursday: Holiday Color Day

Today's Announcements 11/29

1. Box Tops are being collected tomorrow! If you have any, please send them in.
 
2. The Book Fair Family Night will take place TOMORROW from 6:30 to 8:30 in the auditorium.
 
3. The Governor's Teacher Award nomination form has been sent home. Please feel free to nominate a spectacular teacher. Forms are due Dec. 9th. 

Book Fair and KidBiz

Here are lots of things for you to know today!
 
1. KidBiz log ins have been sent home today. Please read the instructions and the notice to know more info about the topic.
 
2. If you would like to volunteer for the Book Fair, a note was sent home today. Please return the note by TOMORROW! Also, envelopes have been sent home for both PTO and teacher donations.
 
3. The Book Fair catalogs were sent home! Feel free to review with your child. You can send in you child's money for the book fair ahead of time. The Book Fair takes place next week.

Lots of Announcements! 11/17/17

Soccer Shoot
On Sunday 11/19/17, there is a Soccer Shoot at WHS the Gym. It's for students ages 6 to 13, and proof of age (a birth certificate) MUST be present in order to play!
 
ZING!
Do you want access to 4000 books for free! Yes, that's right - 4000! We now have access to ZING, a wonderful interactive online reading library that offers hundreds of books to your child - FOR FREE! Look under my 'Websites' tab for more info.
 
Wild West is coming to TRS!
The Annual Scholastic Book Fair is coming to TRS! Students were sent home with a blank paper cowboy (or cowgirl!) hat to decorate. If your student would like to participate, please have them decorate the hat as much as they would like and send it in. It will be used to to decorate the Book Fair!

Donations for Puerto Rico

This is the last week for donations to help those affected by the devastating hurricanes. 
 
The Peers Leaders are asking for donations such as baby food, formula, and diapers, wet wipes, batteries, shampoo, soap, pre-K toys, first aid kits, nonperishable foods, and clothing for children ages 3-6 (sweaters, jackets, coats, sneakers, and socks are all great items).
 
The drive ends Nov. 17th! Thanks for your time and support!

School Picture Day is this Thursday, 11/16. If you are interested in purchasing photos, please fill out the form and hand it in ASAP. There is also a link online if you are interested!
