III. Going to be reinstating Class Parents this year after not having them last year. Hope is that CPs will assist us in communications to parents.
For this very different school year, our main goal is to find informative, creative ways to communicate with you. We’re not certain what programs we’ll be able to have but in the past we have supported the following:
Book Fair (Virtual this year)
Snowball Dance (5th/6th grades)
Ice Cream Social (3rd/4th grades)
Taste of Roosevelt/Class Basket Raffle
Sixth grade end-of-year events support
Teacher Appreciation Week
We are looking for additional parent volunteers to support the Book Fair chairpeople
*The Fair link will be live from October 22nd — November 4th. Stay tuned to Social Media outlets for more Book Fair news.
Fall Enrichment Offerings coming soon! We are pleased to offer Virtual Enrichment classes for the fall semester. Please keep an eye out for details coming soon!
A Virtual Halloween Unfortunately TRW won’t be able to hold its annual Halloween parade this year. We are looking for alternate suggestions —please contact the PTA with any ideas you may have.

*** Parent questions ***
Please note that Back-to-School Night will be held on Wednesday, October 21st. Many of the questions raised during our PTA meeting will be answered at BTS night. If you have additional questions, please reach out to Mrs. Mera @ firstname.lastname@example.org or Mr. Ferrer at email@example.com. You may also reach out to classroom teachers; they’re all here to help in any way they can.
*Parents asked for an opportunity to provide feedback about what’s working/not working with remote learning. Perhaps a survey on the Parent Portal?
*Will we be moving toward a fully school day at some point?
*Some parents need assistance with Google Classroom, particularly 3rd grade parents. Is a tutorial possible? Ms. Scrivanich replied that she is currently setting up a Google site that includes how-to’s and etiquette, for students and parents as well.
* Possible virtual fundraiser opportunity = Wine and Design (Meg Carson)
