Join the PTA!!!

Welcome back to Theodore Roosevelt School! For those of you who are new to this school, we warmly welcome you to the Roosevelt School family.

 

Here at Roosevelt School, our Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is set up to bridge between home and school. We hope that our partnership will pool a wealth of knowledge, talents, and skills to better serve our youngsters. Your involvement really does make a difference! Our mission as your PTA is to foster a strong sense of community and school spirit and to enhance our children’s educational, social, and developmental experiences at school by: 

  • promoting and encouraging communication between parents, teachers, the administration, and the community
  • sponsoring and supporting school events and activities
  • organizing fundraising efforts 

 

Every year, our PTA helps to oversee the needs and development of the school. We also raise funds to provide a wide range of events and programs for our students. As the new school year begins, we once again ask for your support so that we can continue making opportunities available to our children.

The PTA depends on your annual voluntary donations to keep all sorts of wonderful things happening for the children of our school. If you choose not to make any voluntary donations, we still appreciate your involvement and your time contributed to support our school.

 

100% membership means everybody wins!

 

Our membership dues are $10 per family ($4.00 goes to the National PTA). While any parent is welcomed to our PTA monthly meetings, please be advised that only members may cast a vote. On average, the PTA spends over $80 per student each year on our various activities.   We are appreciative of any tax-deductible donation which helps us reach our cost-per-student expenditure. To be successful, the support and involvement of the parents, faculty, and staff is very important. We invite and encourage you to participate and support our school activities and events. Your involvement and participation directly impact your child’s experience at school and is vital to their success, as well as ours.

 

The PTA welcomes you to join our meetings to raise your concerns, and to contribute your ideas and talents to better our school. Our meetings are generally held on the 1st Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm, beginning October 5th.

  • Year End Field Trips for each Grade
  • Student Fun Day
  • Project Moving On (6th Grade Parents)
  • 6th Grade End of Year Dance (June) and Clap Out
