I am the new Library Media Specialist at Theodore Roosevelt School. I look forward to taking on the exciting challenge of learning a new school, filled with wonderful staff and students! I plan on infusing technology in most, if not all, of my "library lessons." I hope all of my students are as thrilled as I am in taking on this school year!
My background in education is a bit varied:
-I graduated from Montclair State University with a degree in English and a certification in teaching.
-After graduation, I landed back-to-back maternity leave positions teaching high school English in Newark, and then Clifton.
-While teaching, I attended (and graduated) from Rutgers University with a master's degree in Library and Informational Sciences, with School Library Media Specialist certification.
-For three years, after graduating from Rutgers, I worked as a high school library media specialist.
It is because of these work experiences that I am that much more energized to take on this new facet of education! I can't wait to explore both paper and digital literacies with my students!
